Certification guarantees environmentally responsible printing
ROGERS, MINN. (January 11, 2012) –
Archway, a leader in marketing fulfillment services, recently received Chain of Custody certification from the
Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) for its Mississauga, Ontario facility, located at 2470 Stanfield Road (FSC®- C106466). This certification guarantees that the wood and paper used in print from this facility has been sourced from healthy forests and strong communities.
In concert with its Fortune 500 clients, Archway removes waste in five main areas of operation-- through consolidated shipments of materials and transportation logistics, rigorous recycling practices, warehouse space optimization, forecasting technology and responsible printing. Each year Archway recycles over 3,450 tons of materials, which according to the EPA and Center for Ecological Technology:
- Saves 14.1MM kWh of electricity
- Conserves 24.1MM gallons of water
- Avoids 207,000 pounds of air pollution
- Puts 58,650 trees back into the ecosystem
The Chain of Custody certification was gained through the Rainforest Alliance, a Forest Stewardship Council accredited organization. The FSC was established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.
